My favorite guys behind the keyboard are Gabriel Andruzzi of The Rapture, Jacob Graham of The Drums, and Oscar Cash of Metronomy. I’ve seen them all live and they showed nifty showmanships. Oh, and all of them have their own amusing dance as the cherry on top.
Craig : Do you like music?
Noelle : Do I like breathing?
Craig : Right, it’s a dumb question.
Noelle : I like Radiohead a lot, The Pixies, T Rex.. What else?
Craig : Have you seen them live?
Noelle : I saw Radiohead and The Pixies ones.
Craig : Cool! So, uh..

Here comes the obligatory post every year. They might not be the best albums of the year, yet they were on heavy rotations in my iPod last year. Happy to see new promising names in 2011 and in fact 4 out of 5 are debutants. Here are my top 5 favorite albums of 2011 in no particular order:
Projection map on Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque by San Francisco’s Obscura Digital in commemoration of 40th Anniversary of the United Arab Emirates National Day. Forty four projectors were used to illuminate the walls beautifully to create this astonishing projection map.
Andy Warhol and Bob Dylan [And I go !!!]

In 1963 a 16-year-old high school student by the name of Bruce McAllister set out to settle a dispute with his English teacher over whether symbolism existed as a conscious device authors employed in writing. So he devised a four-question mimeographed survey to probe the issue and mailed it to 150 of the era’s most notable writers. To McAllister’s surprise, he got 75 responses, ranging from the passionate to the reprimanding to the deeply philosophical. My favorite is above Ralph Ellison’s feedback. “Cardinal Sin” by Banksy. I love Banksy for his witty social critiques. Looking forward to see him creating a 140% artwork.
